Receipts That Put the Price on the Second Line, and Android Text That Fits

Some receipts print the item name on one line and its quantity and price on the next. Those items were being read as a restatement and thrown away, taking the whole purchase with them.

Fixed: on receipts that print the item name and barcode on one line, then “2 X P81.00/Unit 162.00” on the next, every multi-quantity item was dropped. The second line looked like a repeat of a price already counted — which it is on other receipts from the same shop, where the name line carries the amount. Presylo now tells the two apart: if the name line had no price, the line beneath it holds the item's only price and is read as the item.
Fixed: with those items gone, the few lines left were the payment, the VAT summary and a stray “Earned Points” label — so a ₱3,052.75 shop was saved as three purchases totalling ₱5,775.50. Summary labels are now rejected wherever they appear, and Paylink joins the payment methods Presylo recognises, alongside the cards and wallets it already knew.
Fixed: on Android the right-hand end of sentences was cut off — plan badges, the reviews card, the privacy note. Android enlarges text it thinks was written for a desktop screen, which pushed it past the card holding it. Text is now shown at the size the design asks for; pinch-zoom and your own font-size setting still work as before.

Alerts, Invitations You Answer, and a Price You Can Watch

Presylo can now tell you when something is waiting on you: an invitation to someone's list, changes on a list you share, a trip you never finished, a price you asked to be told about. Sharing a list also asks first instead of simply handing it over. And the phone app has two faults fixed that made it look broken.

Key Highlights & Deliverables

New: an Alerts screen, and a bell you can reach from anywhere in the app rather than only from Community. It gathers the things actually waiting on you — an invitation to a list, changes on a list you share, a shopping trip started and never finished, a watched price that came down.
New: sharing a list now asks rather than takes. Handing someone a list used to put it straight into their app with no say from them. They get an invitation instead, and nothing is shared until they accept it. Declining costs nothing and leaves the owner's list exactly as it was.
New: invite someone by email, so you no longer have to get a code to them first. The answer is the same whether or not that address has an account — anything else would turn the invite box into a way of finding out who is registered here — and it is rationed like a password field for the same reason.
An invitation keeps its badge until you actually answer it. Opening the Alerts screen and closing it again is not dealing with something that still needs a yes or a no. Everything else stops counting once you have seen it.
New: watch a price from the Compare tab. Tap the bell on any line and Presylo will tell you when it comes back down. If you name a price, that is the test. If you do not, the yardstick is what you last paid for it yourself — “cheaper than average” would be measuring you against strangers' baskets, and “cheaper than ever” would fire once and never again.
Trips you started and never finished are gathered into one line rather than one line each, and held back half a day. One real ledger had eight of them at the same shop; eight rows saying the same sentence is one piece of news repeated until the screen is useless. The delay is so you are never told a trip is unfinished while you are still standing in the shop.
Fixed: on a shared list, an item you had just added could vanish a moment later. Presylo re-reads a shared list every few seconds so you can see the other person's ticks while they happen, and a read that had set off before your item existed came back with the list as it was beforehand and put that on screen. Nothing was ever lost — the item was in your list the whole time and reappeared on the next read — but while you were adding several things in a row the list kept snapping backwards, which looked exactly like adding items not working. A read that overlaps a change of yours is now thrown away instead of applied.
Fixed, phone app: the top of every screen sat underneath the phone's status bar, so the logo and the bell were clipped along their top edge and the page looked cut off. Presylo draws right to the edges of the screen on purpose — that is what keeps it from looking like a web page in a box — but only the bottom bar was leaving room for the phone's own furniture.
Fixed, phone app: adding a profile photo did nothing at all. Neither did saving your name, adding an AI key, adding a store, searching your purchases, or exporting your records. The app's screens are bundled onto the phone while your data lives on our server, and those requests were being sent to the phone itself, where there is nothing to answer them. Reading your lists always went to the right place, which is why the app otherwise looked perfectly healthy.
Known limit: none of this is pushed to your phone. Alerts are worked out when you open Presylo rather than sent to you, so nothing arrives while the app is closed, and nothing time-based — “this promotion ends tomorrow” — is possible yet. That would need something running while nobody is looking, and there is no such thing here. The Notifications entry in your profile now says so plainly instead of claiming the feature is simply missing.

Put Two Receipts Side by Side

History could show you every price you had ever paid, but never two of them together. There is now a Compare tab that lines up one shop against another and tells you what actually moved. A paused shopping trip is also reachable again.

Key Highlights & Deliverables

New: a Compare tab in Purchase history. It opens on your most recent shop against the last time you were at that same store, with nothing to pick — that is the comparison you usually want, and it should not cost you any taps.
It shows what got dearer and what got cheaper, biggest mover first, with the old price and the new one on every line. Anything you bought both times is lined up; anything on only one receipt is listed separately, so a bigger basket is never mistaken for a price rise.
Two totals, kept apart on purpose. “Receipt total” is what the shop charged you, discounts and fees included. “Compared items” is only the lines that appear on both receipts. They will not match, and the labels say so rather than quietly showing you one number that means neither.
Buying three where you once bought one is shown as a change in how many, not as a tripled price. Where we know the pack size, the per-kilo or per-litre price is shown underneath.
If you bought something by the kilo one week and by the piece the next, no change is claimed. There is no honest way to compare those two prices, so both are shown and the delta is left out.
New: “Plan vs receipt”, for a shop you did from a list. What you got, what you got less of than you asked for, what never made it and why — off the shelf, skipped, or simply not bought — and what went in the trolley that nobody planned.
New: “Cost elsewhere” prices the same basket against the other shops in your own history. It always says how much of the basket it could actually price and how old those prices are, and it greys the figure out when either is too thin to call a saving. A cheaper total built from half your basket is not a saving, it is a guess.
Items are matched by the exact product where we know it, and by the printed name otherwise — a line matched that way is badged, because it is the weaker claim of the two. Resolving items as you scan makes the comparison surer over time.
Fixed: an item matched to your list but not to a known product was recorded at a unit price of ₱0.00 with no unit at all — filed as free. Every purchase now gets a real unit price worked out from what you paid and how many you bought.
Fixed: the same tin of milk was filed under two different product types depending on whether your list happened to mention it, so filtering history by type quietly missed things.
Fixed: a shopping trip you had paused could only be reached by pressing “Choose next store”, so getting back to your own trolley meant going through the store picker and hoping. Worse, once everything on the list was in the cart there was nothing left to shop, that button refused, and the receipt could never be recorded at all. A paused trip now has its own “Back to…” button, with “Shop another store” still offered quietly beside it.
Fixed: on sheets that scroll, the scrollbar ran straight past the rounded top corner and sat against the header's border, looking like a system bar stuck onto the sheet rather than part of it.
Known limit: comparisons cover your own shopping only. A trip you ran on a list someone shared with you belongs to them, along with its prices, so it does not appear here.

Share a List, Say How Many, and a Checkout That Reads Your Receipt

Hand a single list to someone else and shop it together — they see that list and nothing else of yours. Items can say how many you need and which brand you'd prefer. And the receipt screen at checkout, which was never actually reading your photos, now does.

Key Highlights & Deliverables

New: share a list with someone. You get a one-time code and a link; they open it, and from then on both of you see the same list. They can add items, change counts and tick things off in the aisle, so whoever gets to the shop has everyone's list in one place.
Sharing is one list at a time, not your whole account. The person you share with never sees your other lists, your purchase history, your prices or your totals — only the list you handed them. You can see who has it and take it back at any time, and they can leave it themselves. Items they added stay on the list.
What gets bought on a shared list is recorded against whoever owns the list, because the groceries are theirs — even when someone else pushed the trolley. Scanning a receipt still spends the scanner's own allowance, since that is who pressed the button.
The invite code works once, for one person, and expires after 48 hours. We only ever store a scrambled version of it, so it cannot be read back out of our records — if it gets lost, make another. There is a copy button next to the code, because the phone app joins by code rather than by link.
New: items can say how many you need. “Need 3” instead of three separate lines for rice, with a plus and minus you can hit one-handed in an aisle.
New: when the shelf is short, say so. If you needed five and there were only two, record two — the list shows “2 in cart · 3 still to find” rather than pretending it was all found or all missed.
New: an item can name a brand you'd prefer. It rides along to whoever is at the shelf and is a preference, not a decision — the item stays generic, so your price history for soy sauce stays in one place instead of splitting per brand.
Fixed: choosing “Enter prices manually” at checkout handed you a receipt that was already filled in — four items and a bag fee adding up to ₱579, none of which you bought. They were sample lines left in from early development, and pressing Process would have filed them as real purchases into your price history. Manual entry now starts from your own cart, with each line already linked to the item it came from, so the only thing left to type is the price.
Fixed: photographing your receipt at checkout never actually read it. The screen said “Review extracted receipt” over the same invented lines. It now runs the same reader as the Scan tab — on your device first, with the AI reader offered only if that cannot manage it.
Fixed: receipts are now dated by the date printed on them rather than the day you scanned them. Scanning last week's receipt was recording its prices as today's, which quietly skewed what your history said things cost.
Fixed: the list you had open was stored against the list itself rather than against you. Once two people could see the same list, whoever touched it last dragged everyone else's screen onto it. Which list you have open is now yours alone.
Fixed: a list could report two different amounts of progress — “3/3 bought” when you had it open and “2/5 bought” from the switcher above. Both were counting honestly, just with different rulers. Progress now reads the same wherever you look at it, and says what is left rather than what is “bought”, since something sitting in your trolley is not paid for until the receipt lands.
Fixed: on the checkout receipt screen the photo list ran underneath the receipt lines beside it, and the delete button on each line was squeezed to a few pixels wide.
Known limit: one shopping trip still covers one list. If you shop for three households in a single run you will have three trips and one paper receipt, and the receipt has to be scanned against each. Splitting one receipt across several households is a separate job.

Tick Items Off, Edit Anything, and a Receipt Reader That Can See

Your list works like a checklist now — tick things off in the aisle, rename them, remove them, and do the same to the list itself. Receipt scanning was also finding the cardboard box behind your receipt instead of the receipt, which is now fixed.

New: every item on a list has a checkbox. Tick things off as you put them in the trolley. While a shopping trip is running a tick means “in my cart”, so the list and the shopping screen always agree; with no trip running it means “I already have this”, and the item is left out of your next trip. No price is guessed either way — the receipt still sets it at checkout.
New: items can be renamed and removed. Tap the pencil to correct a name where it sits, or the bin to take it off the list. An item that a completed receipt already paid for is kept, so a shop that has happened cannot be rewritten.
New: the list itself can be renamed and deleted. Deleting a list keeps every receipt and price it produced — that history stays in your records and searches as before. A list with a shopping trip in progress will not delete until you finish or cancel the trip.
Fixed: ticking an item off could refuse with “This Shopping Trip can no longer be edited”, which is exactly the wrong moment to be told that. Ticking is now allowed at any point in a trip.
Fixed: adding a generic item arrived with “Milk” already typed in, which had to be cleared before every single item. The word is now a hint in the empty box instead.
Fixed: adding an item on an iPhone popped up “AutoFill Contact” over the keyboard every time, because the field was labelled as a name. Naming a new list did the same. Both are quiet now.
Fixed: on a phone the keyboard covered the very box it had just opened for you, so you were typing somewhere you could not see. Sheets now end above the keyboard and scroll the field you are typing in into view.
Fixed: receipt scanning looked for the receipt by finding something pale — and a cardboard box, a white counter and a tiled floor are all pale. It routinely read most of the photo instead of the receipt, so the receipt itself was never enlarged and the text stayed too small to read. It now finds the receipt by looking for printing, and reads it in strips at a size the reader can actually work with. On our test photo the printed total went from an invented 966.76 to the correct 3,925.69.
Fixed: the card payment at the bottom of a receipt was being recorded as a purchase of its own, doubling the receipt. Any line that simply restates the total is now left out unless the receipt genuinely balances with it counted.
Fixed: the “1.036 X P139.00” lines under weighed items were being saved as separate purchases, charging you twice for the same meat. They are now read as what they are — the weight and unit price of the line above.
Fixed: an item's price could be quietly rewritten using the line printed underneath it, which was correct only when the reader had kept both. When it had not, a ₱335 item was restated as ₱100. Printed prices are now left alone and anything doubtful is flagged for you to check instead.
Product names off a receipt are now tidied to a consistent style, so one receipt's mix of “rob jdc pork adobo” and “SIMPLY CHEF CANTON” does not become two styles of entry in your history. Sizes and pack counts like 1K and 12PCS are left exactly as printed.
Known limit: on a photo taken at arm's length the reader still misses lines. Filling the frame with the receipt is worth more than anything else you can do — and “Read it with AI” is still there for the ones it cannot manage.

Every List Kept, Searchable History, Reviews & Your Own Name

Starting a new list no longer hides the one you were already working on, scanned items finally turn up when you search your history, you can leave a public review, and you can finally change the name on your account.

Fixed: creating a new list appeared to delete the previous one. Nothing was ever lost — every list was safe in the database — but only the most recently used one was shown, so a plan you had already filled in simply vanished from view. All your open lists now appear together and you can switch between them freely.
Fixed: searching your history never found items from a scanned receipt. History was being read from an older record that is only written when a receipt line matches something on a shopping list, so receipt-first scans — the usual way of scanning — left it empty. The Items, Products and Stores tabs are populated again, and the search box now matches product names instead of only store and list names.
Fixed: completed trips showed “0 products” even when the receipt held two dozen items, for the same reason.
Fixed: trips were dated by the day you scanned them, so two receipts from different days could both read as today. They now use the date printed on the receipt.
Fixed: Data export produced a file with no rows in it. It now downloads every purchase on record, including items that never matched a shopping list, and the profile shows the real count before you download.
Fixed: deleting a receipt could show one receipt's shop, date and item count while actually deleting a different one, if you closed the confirmation and opened another receipt. The confirmation now always describes the receipt it will delete.
New: a public reviews page at /reviews. Anyone can read it; leaving one needs an account, and your entry shows a masked version of your name — never your full name or email. You can revise what you wrote at any time.
New: you can change your name. It was set once when your account was created and, if you signed up with email and no name, it was taken from the part of your address before the @ — so plenty of accounts were called things like “juan.dela.cruz”. That name is what the reviews page masks and shows, so being stuck with it mattered. Tap your name on the profile page to change it.
New: profiles now have a real avatar. Every account used to show the Presylo logo. Upload a photo, or leave it and Presylo draws one from your initials with a colour of its own — the drawn one stores nothing and redraws the moment you change your name.
Your name and photo are edited together: tap the pencil beside your name and both are in one place, with the picture updating as you type so you can see the new initials before saving. Tapping the photo itself opens it full screen instead.
Privacy: identifiers a receipt happens to print are now removed before anything is saved — senior-citizen, PWD and OSCA numbers, TINs, card and loyalty numbers, phone numbers and email addresses. Discount amounts are kept, because your totals still have to add up.
The profile page now describes what Presylo actually does. Receipt photos are read and discarded rather than stored, shared households and notifications are marked as not built yet instead of looking like settings you could change, and the usage ledger says plainly when a paid AI reader is being billed to your own key.
Date pickers now open upwards or sideways when there is no room below, instead of disappearing behind the bottom navigation bar.
Prices show the peso sign on the home page instead of a dollar icon.

Scanning Fixed, Your Own AI Key & Real Receipt Dates

Receipt scanning now works on the web app, purchases are dated by the receipt rather than the day you scanned it, and you can bring your own AI key for the receipts your phone cannot read.

Fixed: receipt scanning failed on every attempt on the live site. The browser was blocking the on-device text recognition engine from loading, and the error was reported as an unreadable photo — so a working photo looked like a bad one. Scanning now runs entirely from Presylo's own servers, which also means it keeps working offline.
Bring your own AI key: choose Google Cloud Vision (1,000 free reads a month) or Claude, and the “Read it with AI” option becomes available for faded or crumpled receipts — billed to your own account, never shared.
Your key is encrypted before it is stored and is never shown again or sent back to your browser. You can remove it at any time.
Choose when it is used: only when your phone cannot read a receipt, or on every receipt for the best accuracy.
Receipt dates are now read off the receipt itself, so scanning last week's receipt records last week's price instead of today's — price history stays honest.
Photos taken at an angle read far better: the scanner now straightens tilted receipts before reading them.
Every dropdown in the app now matches Presylo's design instead of falling back to the browser's own control.
New in Price Notes: “Where did I buy this again?” — on remembering where a good price came from.

Price History, Faster Everything & Sign-in by Code

Open any trip or item to see its full price history, sort your results, and move around a noticeably faster app. Sign-up now verifies with a short code instead of a link.

A much faster app: the database now runs in Singapore instead of the US, and common screens ask it for less. Everyday actions are several times quicker.
Better receipt reading: photos are now processed with per-region contrast, so faded print and uneven lighting are far more likely to scan on the first try.
Scanning is unlimited and free. The old “5 receipt scans” cap was never enforced and has been removed rather than left as a false limit.
Sign-up verification now uses a 6-digit code you can type, instead of hunting for a link in your inbox.

Scan a receipt by taking a photo. Recognition runs on your device, with an optional AI reader for receipts that are faded, crumpled, or hard to read.
