Terms of Use

Presylo is free, small, and run by one team. These terms say what you can expect from it, and what it expects from you.

Your records are yours
What you record stays your property. You give Presylo only the permission it needs to store it, show it back to you, and share what you deliberately choose to share.
A price is a record, not an offer
Prices in Presylo are what somebody paid at some point. They are not quotes, and no shop is bound by them.
Check what the reader produces
Receipt reading is automated and gets things wrong. You are asked to review every extraction, and the reviewed version is what counts.
The service is free and unguaranteed
There is no fee and no uptime promise. Features can change. Anything you send as support for the developer is a voluntary gift, not a purchase.
Do not post prices you made up
Community reports are read by other shoppers as fact. Inventing them, or posting anything abusive or unlawful, ends your access.
Philippine law applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.

The agreement

These terms are between you and Presylo, an independent product operated from the Philippines. They apply to the website at www.presylo.com and to the Presylo app for Android and iOS. By creating an account or using the service you accept them; if you do not, do not use the service.

How your data is handled is set out separately in the Privacy Notice, which forms part of this agreement.

What Presylo is

Presylo is a private record of household shopping: lists, shopping trips, receipts, the prices you paid, and the history those build up into. It also carries optional community features where members share observed prices with each other.

It is a record-keeping tool. It is not financial advice, not an accounting system of record, and not a shop. Nothing in Presylo can be bought, and no purchase you make elsewhere is transacted through it.

Your account

You need an account, and it should belong to a real person — you. Use an email address you control, keep your password to yourself, and tell us at privacy@presylo.com if you think someone else has got into it. What happens under your account is treated as done by you.

You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and at least 13 in any case.

What you record stays yours

Your lists, receipts, purchases, prices, photos, and notes remain yours. Presylo claims no ownership of them.

To run the service we need your permission to store that content, process it, and display it back to you and to anyone you have deliberately shared it with — a person you invited to a list, or the community when you post a price report. That permission exists only to operate Presylo, it is not exclusive, and it ends when you delete the content or your account, except where a copy has already been shared with someone else or must be kept by law.

Presylo also derives aggregate, de-identified statistics from prices posted to the community — a typical price for an item in an area, for instance. Those aggregates are not traceable back to you and may continue to be used after you leave.

How you may use it

Use Presylo for your own household record-keeping. Do not:

  • Post community prices you did not actually observe, or that you have altered.
  • Upload anything unlawful, abusive, hateful, or that infringes someone else’s rights.
  • Record another person’s private information without their agreement.
  • Scrape, bulk-export, or resell the community data, or use the service to build a competing price database.
  • Attack the service: probing for weaknesses, defeating rate limits, or automating access in ways that degrade it for others.
  • Impersonate someone, or use a shop’s name to pass yourself off as it.

Community reports can be flagged by other members and reviewed. We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules, and we will say why where we can.

Found a security flaw? Report it to privacy@presylo.com before telling anyone else, and do not access data that is not yours while investigating. We will not pursue anyone who does that in good faith.

About prices and automated reading

A price in Presylo is a historical record. It is what somebody recorded paying, at one branch, at one moment. Shops change prices, run promotions, and stock different sizes. Nothing in Presylo obliges any shop to sell at a price shown here, and community reports come from other members, not from us — we do not verify them.

Receipt reading is automated and imperfect. Whether it runs on your device or through the AI reading button, it misreads faint printing, unusual layouts, and creased paper. Presylo asks you to review every extraction before it is written into your history, and the version you confirm is the one that counts. Decisions you take on the strength of an unreviewed extraction are your own.

Availability and changes

Presylo is provided free of charge. There is no service level, no uptime promise, and no guarantee that a feature you rely on will still exist next month. Features are added, changed, and withdrawn as the product develops; significant changes are recorded in the public updates log.

Some parts depend on services outside our control — the database host, the image host, the AI provider. When one of those is down, the part of Presylo that needs it is down too.

Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. Presylo can export your purchase history as a spreadsheet, and that export is yours to keep.

Supporting the developer

Presylo may show a card offering ways to support its development through a payment provider. Anything sent that way is a voluntary gift. It buys no feature, no priority, and no service commitment, and it is not refundable through us — the payment provider’s own terms govern the transaction, and we never see your card or wallet details.

Ending it

You can stop using Presylo at any time, and ask for your account and its records to be deleted as described in the Privacy Notice.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that is being used in a way that endangers the service or other members. Except where the breach is serious or unlawful, we will give you notice and a chance to put it right. If we ever shut Presylo down, we will give reasonable notice and time to export your data first.

What we do not promise

Presylo is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties about it — not of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted or error-free operation.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Presylo is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profit or savings, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Your statutory rights as a consumer under Philippine law are unaffected.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, and the courts of the Philippines have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change, the date at the top changes with them and the change is noted in the public updates log. If a change materially affects your rights, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Presylo after that is how you accept the new version; if you would rather not, delete your account.
